Our only hope

We won't lose hope just yet. Our family is deciding to have a kidney transplant overseas. We would not have to wait five years and the transplant success rates are quite high. However, we are in a financial crisis, and the only way left requires a lot of money in order to take place. Due to the side effects of dialysis, our dear mom has been witnessing side effects like amnesia. Words can't describe the pain in my heart as we have to rush to the hospital when she falls unconscious. It is really scary. Our family needs an angel to help us out in our time of need. Please make this possible. You, people of the world, are our only hope. Our family is depending on you. Please help our family and don`t let our mom get snatched away from us. The Heart of the Family

My mom is Srabanti Munshi. She is without doubt the best mom in the world. My mom got a scholarship to the one of teh best schools in London. Its called LSE(London School of Economics). She got several degrees and then came to the USA,seeking a better future for us kids.However, our mom has been diagnosed with end stage renal disease. This caused both of her kidneys to fail. She is currently on dialysis for eight years now. She is still doing dialysis and she is not able tolerate it any longer. She goes to dialysis 3x a week or even more for extra treatments and four hours a day. Mom does everything to keep the family running. She is the strongest woman I ever saw or heard of. There is no way to describe how she runs herself and she will do anything for us. She made so many life sacrifices just to get us on this planet. She is the most kind-hearted person in the world. She is the heart and soul of the family. The doctors told say the only solution is to receive a kidney transplant as soon as possible. Yes, there is a waiting list but my mom will have to wait another five years at minimum to find a donor. I am afraid that will be too late by the time that happens. Furthermore, we have a grieving dad that can’t imagine a day without our mom. My dad is Ashraf Bhuiyan.   Silent tears fall out of our eyes as we watch our mom deteriorate without being able to do anything. 

Who am I?

Let me first just introduce myself. I am the son of the strongest mother of the world. I wouldn`t trade this throne for anything in the world. I`m fourteen years old and my name is Sadiq Rahman. I live in the best place in the world. I am a freshman at Stuyvesant High School and I have 2 brothers by the names of Sadaab Rahman and Sadat Rahman. Sadat is my younger brother. He is twelve years old and Sadaab is 11 years old. They go to I.S 73 in Maspeth, Queens. The holiday season is here, with less than a week till 2009. All three of us brothers each want the same thing for the New Year. That is that god send an angel from the sky to help my mom.
